Salvation is given by God as a free gift, by grace, through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He truly is "the Way, the Truth, and the Life!" In love, God gave us His Son, Jesus, to live a perfect life as an example of holiness, and to sacrificially died to pay the penalty for our sins. He offers us forgiveness and grace to all who will come to Him.
This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone.
And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven
given among men by which we must be saved.
Acts 4:11-12 (ESV)
LWBC is a Bible-believing church that studies God's Word together to find out how He would have us live this life. The sole basis for all authority is found in the pages of God’s Word, the Bible. We know the Scripture to be infallable, completely applicable, and life tranformational. The simple message of God’s Word is that God loves us and has proven this by giving His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins.
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof,
for correction, and for training in righteousness,
that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16 (ESV)
LWBC exists to pursue a love relationship with God through Jesus. We are commanded in Scripture to come together as a church be a witness for Jesus, to encourage one another, carry each others' burdens, pray for one another, and worship together.
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,
not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another,
and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Hebrews 10:23-25 (ESV)
