The word "ministry" means to serve and therefore, our men's ministry exists to help our men serve.
First and foremost, in our serving God, men are exhorted in Scripture to be servants. Titus 3:8 says "that men are to be careful to maintain good works" or good works of service.
Second, every man has the responsibility of serving his wife and children. In Ephesians 5:25, men are instructed to "love their wives as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it." Men are to live sacrificially before their wives in leadership and for their good.
Thirdly, men are to live in service to God through their local church. Titus 2:7-8 says "in all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you."
Because of the biblical mandates for men to be servants, the focus of our men's ministry is to equip them to take on this goal of service. LWBC provides opportunities throughout the year for men to be involved in this mighty endeavor. Small groups meet on Sundays and during each week. We have an annual men's conference early in the year, which features a critical area of men's lives.
